One Day, Day One
I'll be the first to admit that setting goals is one of my favorite and least favorite things to do. Setting the goals is liberating and fulfilling, but the moment I slack or miss a day, I feel depressed and feel like I've let myself down. I've gotten into that habit of setting the goals (which is great), and then never following through on them (which is not so great). Sounds pretty familiar doesn't it.
Do as the Germans do
Seeing how other people live is one thing. But witnessing how an entire country lives differently is something out of the ordinary for many people in the world. Whether you live a simple life with a small garden in your back yard, or live extravagantly in your beach house in the Hamptons; you can never truly appreciate what you have until you have witnessed what other cultures have.
Where are we going?
Traveling brings out this entirely new version of questions you never thought you'd ask yourself. What possessions bring me joy? What is my perception of a successful life? Why do other countries not believe in the Starbucks app? And most importantly, where are we going and how do we get there? The latter being a question I wish I asked myself more often in normal everyday life settings. There is this trend of flowing through life that we've just adjusted to.
To the people I haven't met
When we are born, we sign this invisible contract that revolves around human interaction and social communication. We then start to spend basically every waking hour interacting with people, thinking about their mannerisms, working with them, becoming friends with them, sharing meals, laughing over drinks, talking to them and sometimes even sitting in silence with them. But do you ever think about the people you haven't met yet? The ones that are right around the corner or miles away.
What you'll find here.
Setting intentions for a positive life style. Broadening perspectives on the world. Understanding personality types and human interaction. Communicating while working remotely. Experiencing technology as a designer. Dressing to express, not impress. Consuming food for the soul.
"Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit at home and think about it. Go out and get busy."
